No matter how tempting, do not stand under a waterfall. Not only does the water comes down, so does whatever is in the water such as rocks and branches. Even a small rock can cause serious injury if it falls several hundred feet in a waterfall! Be careful driving! With waterfalls and scenic views around every corner, it's easy to take your eyes off the road. If you see something you really want to look at, pull over and take your time to enjoy the view.

If you are lucky enough to see a Nene (Hawaii's State Bird) or a Hawaiian Green Turtle, keep your distance. Both the Nene Birds and the Green Turtles are endangered species and are protected by federal and state laws. Fines are severe for disturbing them.
